Resin: What is it and what does it really do?

Resin, resin, resin. It’s everywhere and used for a numerous amount of products and designs.  From molds that are cast out of resin, jewelry, and heck, even adhesive!  But we’re going clarify what water filtration system resin is, what is it’s job, and why it is important. With any new investment, whether it be a product, service, etc.., it pays to know what and why a product is designed they way it is, especially when it is an investment that concerns health and your consumption of basic needs to maintain a healthy lifestyle! A million little resin beads go into your treatment.  

What is Resin? Resin is a special media, made of millions of plastic beads, imbued with sodium ions. 

Why are there different grades of Resin? The softening resins used in water softeners, water conditioners, and water treatment systems vary with each manufacturer.  It can be compared to glass; some glass is so cheap it can crack and break easily, whereas glass can also be made to be bullet-proof.
